Kootenay Rhythm Dragons

The Kootenay Rhythm Dragons began as Nelson's first dragon boat team in January, 2004 with a group of dedicated women. Within months the organizational structure was in place with designation as a non-profit association. Through commitment and hard work, funds were raised in Nelson community to purchase the association's Green and Yellow Dragon Boat.

Since then we have had several years of team building, exciting races and comraderie.  With head coach Puleng Pratt, we are working hard to improve our skills and endurance and making sure we have fun too!   Wherever we place in a race, Puleng wants to make sure we are "Looking good!".

Watch for us during the season on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on Kootenay Lake in Nelson BC just under the famous "Big Orange Bridge" We welcome any new interest!
